Pokémon and 3D printing

Did you used to be huge Pokémon fans too? Do you also feel the need to search for your old Gameboy and its game collection in your parents' attic? Or have you now – thanks to Pokémon Go – heard about these little things around Pikachu and are already crazy about them? If you also have access to a 3D printer, you've come to the right place. I have searched the net a little bit and present here first the following 5 objects or ideas around Pokémon, which you should print as a fan:

Pokéball:

Olli Kahn once said “Pokéballs! We need Pokéballs!” or something like that. Pokéballs as 3D printed objects are currently available in different variants. Sometimes you print out the ball completely – but have to paint it afterwards – sometimes it consists of individual parts, whereby different colored filament can be used to preserve the original colors and sometimes they consist of individual parts and are also able to be opened like the original balls from the series or games. Depending on which variant you choose, the duration of the post-processing will increase. Now here is a “simple” version and one that opens with the push of a button:

Pokéball – Simple Variant

This Pokéball consists of four individual parts, making it easier to print and assemble. If you have filament in the appropriate colors, you can print the ball in the actual colors and assemble it.

Pokéball – With button to open

A Pokéball that can be opened, on the other hand, and is thus modeled on the original, I present here. Of course, it consists of several individual parts and can be assembled after the printing process of all parts. A video tutorial on how to assemble it has also been recorded by designer Intentional3D and uploaded as well.

Low-Poly Pokémon:

If the Pokéballs are not enough, it is of course advisable to print out the corresponding Pokémon for this purpose. Personally, I find the “low-poly” variants great, because they look like the Gameboy variants from earlier days due to the lower polygon count. In the picture you can see only Pikachu, but the good Mr. Augustin Flowalistik has also stolen the polygons from Glumanda, Schiggy and many others.

Pokémon Go Team Order:

If you are one of those who currently play in a team (Daring, Wisdom and Intuition) and if you want to show the world who your heart beats for – then the following orders are something for you. In the right color that makes then already what.

Pokémon-Go targeting device for smartphones (so-called Aimer):

Pigeon seen, ball thrown but not caught? The so-called bucket, which is now available for many smartphones, provides a remedy. Simply attach to the smartphone and when throwing the ball, the finger is guided so that the ball always flies in the right direction.

Pikachu Cookie Cutter:

What could be better than eating cookies for refreshment after an exhausting hunt? But yes, cookies in the shape of your favorite. “I choose you, Pikachu!” – is my motto here.
