3D printing ideas for wedding

Are you also in the preparations for your wedding right now? Then you probably also know that the prices of decorative items rise to astronomical heights when the inscription “wedding” on them. If you want to show more individuality and offer your guests something different, 3D printing is perfect for that.

Already with the invitation you can let off steam and amaze your friends and relatives. So why not just send out a printed invitation? Here you can find a small selection of my favorites. We may realize one or two ideas for our big day.

Variable WORD Sculpture – THE topic of conversation in the family

Several times I tried to introduce 3D printing to my family members and always with moderate success. Mechanical constructions or funny gimmicks did not bring much. Then I had some of the following objects with their own names with me and lo and behold – everyone wanted something like that. Based on the well-known LOVE lettering, you can change the lettering on thingiverse with the Customizer or on the PC at the .SCAD file according to your own wishes. It's super easy and when creating the .STL file, the others from the family have also had their fun.

Wedding Invitation Lithopane – A nerdy way to invite your guests

Litho what? Lithophane describes the art of creating a relief on a thin or translucent material, which only really comes into its own against the light. With the technique, 3D-printed photos with relief then look like the following picture. In this example, a text was also printed to embellish the invitation. If, like us, you have the entire organization in your own hands and the food is also put together yourself, you can print these stands in the matching color to your menu. Then your guests will always have a clear view of it and in the late hour the cards will probably still be on the table and not on the floor.
