What are the different materials in 3D printing?

To answer your question, we have illustrated this somewhat clearly in the following figure. We have also subordinated the 3D printing processes to the respective material types filament, resin/resin and powder.

Please keep in mind that a term like powder is very broad here. For example, it can be plastic powder for selective laser sintering (SLS) or metal powder for selective laser melting (SLM).
